The idea of paradise has been a significant one throughout the ages. Its strength is in its ability to make human existence meaningful and bearable despite the fact that it is inevitably transitory. Paradise is a place of peace and abundance. It is a place outside ordinary historical time, and hence it is immune to illness or crime, as well as death. It is also a location which is populated by young and healthy people.
Paradise is described in many different ways It ranges from the Garden of Eden of the Bible to the lush Pacific Ocean islands of novels and Gauguin's paintings. It can even be seen in the present thanks to the popularity of communes and the renewed interest in gardening and outdoor living. The term utopia, in reality, conjures images of paradise. Although not all utopias have religious overtones, they often include paradisial motifs. They are also designed to bring about certain qualities and characteristics of paradise in reality.
The word"paradise" has many different meanings and all of them refer to a state or condition of extreme beauty and pleasure. It could also refer to the perfect location for any particular sport or activity like the golfer's paradise or bird's paradise. In a religious sense, it can be a reference to heaven, which is the heaven where the righteous go after they die.
Several different languages have used the word paradise, but it was originally derived from the ancient Iranian language of Avestan. The word is pairidaeza, or "walled enclosure," from the roots pairi, "around," and daeza, "wall." It became part of the Hebrew and other Aramaic texts as paradeisos, and later changed to Greek and then into Greek, where it was renamed paradise.
In the Bible The Bible describes paradise as the Garden of Eden, where the first couple lived in a gorgeous environment that was free from disease and death. After they disobeyed God and sinned they lost their paradise. In later Bible prophecies, heaven is an area where the happy human race will be forever. The term "paradise" could also be a reference to a state of happiness, either psychological or spiritual, and joy.
